Capitol Leadership Conference Registration Due 12/15
Go for the Red, FCCLA’s annual membership campaign, provides incentives for members and chapters working to increase membership.
Share your positive FCCLA experience with your friends!
Go for the Red empowers students to recruit, retain, and recognize members.
Recruiting new members helps a chapter grow, stay active, and bring in new ideas.
Go for the Red encourages students to invite friends, classmates, and new faces to be part of FCCLA.
When students share their own experiences, it makes it easier for others to see themselves in the organization.
Strong recruitment helps the chapter build a fun, welcoming community.
Picture a chapter where students greet new members with a smile and a “come sit with us.”
Someone offers to show them around or explain an upcoming project.
Friends invite friends, and pretty soon the room is full of voices and laughter.
Posters go up, announcements are made, and students proudly share what FCCLA does.
By the next meeting, those new faces are already part of the group.
That’s what Go for the Red looks like when a chapter is excited to grow.
Retention means helping members stay connected and excited all year long.
Go for the Red reminds chapters to create experiences that feel meaningful and fun.
When students feel included, supported, and able to try new things, they stick with it.
Retaining members keeps a chapter strong and full of opportunities.
Imagine a chapter where students look forward to every meeting.
They know their ideas help shape what the group does next, and they can try leadership roles at their own pace.
Older members help newer ones feel confident.
Activities feel connected to what students care about, whether it’s college, careers, or helping their community.
Over time, friendships grow and students feel proud to be part of the chapter.
That’s how strong retention builds a long-lasting group.
Recognition shows members they’re valued and that their contributions matter.
Go for the Red encourages chapters to celebrate wins big and small.
When students feel seen and valued, they are more likely to stay involved and try new things.
Recognition builds a positive chapter culture where everyone feels supported.
Think of a chapter where students cheer each other on.
A member gets a shout-out for helping with a service project, another is recognized for trying a STAR Event for the first time, and everyone claps when a team earns an achievement.
A bulletin board highlights the chapter’s success, and families and teachers get to see it too.
Small celebrations build big confidence.
Over time, recognition becomes part of what makes the chapter feel special.
