A National Community Where Students Thrive and Educators Lead
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a dynamic, student-led organization that connects classroom learning to leadership, service, and real-world career preparation.
FCCLA is not a club, and it is not extracurricular. It is an intracurricular Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that is integrated into Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education. It transforms what students are already learning in the classroom into hands-on opportunities to lead, grow, and succeed.
From Culinary Arts to Fashion Design, Education and Training to Nutrition, Human Development to Hospitality, FCCLA helps students in FCS courses advance their knowledge, apply it in meaningful ways, and prepare for careers that support families and strengthen communities.
FCCLA is the only national CTSO specifically dedicated to preparing students for careers that support the family. It is designed for middle school, high school, and postsecondary students enrolled in FCS programs.
By participating in FCCLA, students:
Develop confidence and leadership through officer roles, projects, and public speaking
Compete in over 50 Competitive Events tied to 6 career clusters
Serve their schools and communities through purpose-driven service learning
Explore career opportunities and connect with professionals and employers
Travel to leadership conferences and meet members from across the country
Earn scholarships and national recognition
FCCLA builds the essential skills students need for life—communication, responsibility, time management, collaboration, and decision-making—all through activities that support your school’s educational goals.
FCCLA is for more than just students; it is a shared experience that strengthens classrooms, families, and entire school communities.
